Pastor Kevin, Senior Pastor
A native of Woodstown, NJ, Pastor Kevin is a graduate of Woodstown High School where he lettered in track and cross country. He is also a cum laude graduate of Wilberforce University and holds a Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary and a Master of Science in Counseling from Adams State University.
At the age of 17 Pastor Kevin accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. A deep yearning for something more subsequently led to him being licensed to the gospel ministry at Mt. Laurel African Methodist Church Yorktown, NJ under the pastorate of Rev. James Brooks. After completing seminary, he was one of the youngest pastors ordained in the United Methodist Church.
Pastor Kevin has always been a trailblazer. After a surprising and life altering encounter with the Holy Spirit, he began a men’s bible study in his Somerdale, NJ home in 1996. Those bible studies eventually lead to the formation of a new congregation, Metropolitan Gospel Church, now known as Ambassadors Christian Church; a non-denominational multi-racial church. Pastor Kevin leads a community of faith whose mission is to R.I.S.E.
Pastor Kevin is known for his ability to keep the Word of God fresh and applicable to your life situation, for his confidence that your “Yes” is out there, for his openness to the supernatural power of God and for his declaration that you are a SUCCESS. Most importantly, however, is his confession that Jesus is Lord.
Pastor Yvonne, Co-Pastor
Pastor Yvonne grew up in Philadelphia, PA and along with her husband is the co-founder of Ambassadors Christian Church. She is an able administrator of the vision and mission of ACC and oversees the leadership team.
Pastor Yvonne loves people, has strong organizational skills, and a straightforward approach to life. As a minister of the gospel, Pastor Yvonne is gifted with an anointing to prosper. She trusts God and believes that God intends for believers to live a successful spirit-filled life. As a committed prayer warrior, she is not afraid to call those things that be not as though they were and then see the manifestation of her confession. This is evident in her dedication to the healing ministry of Ambassadors. She also organizes an annual women’s conference that empowers women to live the redeemed lifestyle.
Pastor Yvonne’s background as a Registered Nurse compliments the spiritual teaching with insights into keeping women physically healthy through nutrition and exercise. She holds a B.S.N. degree from The College of New Jersey (formerly Trenton State College). She is the Clinical Director for Inspira Homecare & Hospice a health system. She has been honored with various awards, most notably The Whitney M. Young Jr. Award from Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania for her community service.
While finding the call of ministry to be very fulfilling, Pastor Yvonne will quickly tell you that her most important calling is that of a wife and mother. In addition to being her husband’s chief intercessor and best friend, she has raised six children and now gets even greater joy spending time with her grandchildren.
Pastor Katrina, Assistant Pastor
Pastor Katrina Parker is the Assistant Pastor to Pastors Kevin & Yvonne. Her primary responsibility is to the Frontline Praise and Worship Team. She is also a valuable contributor to the dance ministry. Pastor Trina’s passion is teaching the Word of God in a way that can be both understood and applied by women, men and children.
